Rain Policy

Games are subject to inclement weather on occasion. As a general rule, decisions regarding postponements are not made until the regularly scheduled game time. Once umpires and team officials make a determination, every effort will be made to communicate the decision to the general public via all available media outlets (TV, radio, website, social media, etc.)

Once a game begins, it becomes official if five innings have been played, or if 4 1/2 innings have been played with the Lugnuts leading. If the game has gone this long, the game is considered official and no rain checks will be issued. If the game is suspended before this point or if it is postponed before it begins, all tickets to that game become rain checks.

Rain checks can be exchanged at the Lugnuts' box office or by mail at 505 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI 48912 for tickets of equal or lesser value to any other regular season Lugnuts game, based upon availability. Exchanges are good only within the same regular season.

If a doubleheader is scheduled, a ticket for that day's game is good for both games of the doubleheader unless specifically advertised as otherwise by the Lugnuts.

In the case of doubleheaders and/or days on which a previous game is completed and another is played, only one game must become official. If at least one game has reached five innings or 4 1/2 with the Lugnuts leading, no rain check will be issued.
